Alumni Hall
Built in 1915, Oakland’s former Masonic Temple is now home to a variety of student and alumni services—including both the Pitt Alumni Association and the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. It brings together past, present, and future members of the Pitt community.
The first floor is now home to the Legacy Gallery, a new permanent exhibit that tells the many stories of accomplishment and distinction that originated at Pitt. The gallery houses two unique touch-screen interactive kiosks—the first of their kind anywhere in the world—developed by Pittsburgh-based ThoughtForm Inc. Visitors can use the kiosks to explore the achievements of alumni, faculty, and students through video, audio, archival photos, and text.
Mellon Financial Corporation Hall, located on the fifth floor, includes classrooms, team rooms, and meeting space for the Katz School's Center for Executive Education and Executive MBA Program. This refurbished space was made possible by a $1 million pledge to the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business by Mellon Financial Corporation.
The renovation of Alumni Hall was part of a massive building and renovation plan which continues the transformation of the Pittsburgh campus.
