The Carnegie Complex
Just across the street from the University of Pittsburgh campus, the Carnegie Complex contains the region's main public library, a music hall, a fine arts museum, and a natural history museum (which contains the world’s largest collection of dinosaur fossils and skeletons). University of Pittsburgh students may show their valid Pitt IDs and visit the museums free of charge.
Trivia tidbit: The closing scene of the movie Flashdance was filmed on the steps of the Carnegie Museum.
