Litchfield Towers
Our largest housing complex, Litchfield Towers is home to many of our freshmen students. The Towers are co-ed and house approximately 1,800 students. Towers A and B of the complex offer double rooms while Tower C offers singles.
The original “A,” “B,” and “C” names were simply shorthand abbreviations used by the Towers’ designers. Though officially renamed the “Litchfield Towers” in 1971, the “A,” “B,” and “C” names have stuck ever since.
The design of the Towers has earned several architectural awards.
The Towers Lobby, a social crossroads, connects all three buildings and also houses Panther Central, a one-stop center where students can take care of ID card issues as well as Housing Services and Dining Services needs. The lobby is also home to the Common Grounds coffee cart, the student mail room, e-mail kiosks, a vending area, and laundry facilities.
On the lower level of the Towers is one of the main dining services areas. “Eddies,” a food court containing a convenience store, deli, and cereal bar, also serves pizza, chicken, salads, Mexican specialties, and other items.
Another eating facility on campus that also accepts the meal plan is Schenley Food Court on the concourse level of the William Pitt Union. |
